Be honest. When was the last time you really looked at the content on your website? If you haven't you really should. Do the words REALLY reflect your business? Have things changed that aren't reflected on your site. The best looking site means nothing if the content you share is dull, lifeless and weak.
St. Michaels Golf Course in Fife, Scotland, knew they didn't like their site. They knew it wasn't supporting their existing members and they also knew it wasn't doing a good enough job at attracting visitors and new members. But they were overwhelmed. They didn't know where to begin. They asked me if I could help them navigate a path towards a site that would finally become a genuine asset for the club. Here's what the club's Honorary Secretary; Alan Lafferty, had to say after I delivered the 8 page report.
We were unhappy with our website and knew changes were required but where to begin?Kevin was recommended to us and we are so glad we approached him for advice and guidance. His 8 page report highlighted a number of issues.
He outlined in a clear, straightforward and honest manner, the changes we needed to make in order to move the website forward. Kevin's instructions were helpful, concise and bespoke. This allowed us to implement the changes on our own within the limited skills of the club members. Thank You, Kevin!"
All the Website Content Audits I conduct are 100% tailored to your site. Before I start the project I'll speak to you on the phone or over Skype to understand your unique set of challenges. That will give me the context I need to create a report that will genuinely help your business.
There are three simple steps to getting your own unique Website Content Audit.
Click the 'Book Your Audit' button, make secure online payment and your Audit Slot will be booked.
This is the most important part of the process. I need to understand you and your business to make this work.
3 working days after our briefing call your 5-8 page report will be emailed to you in PDF format.
The purpose of the audit is to be actionable. In other words, the majority of changes I'll be recommending are changes you can make yourself. In some instances you might need to speak to your webmaster or web developer, but if you have a Content Management System (CMS) you'll be able to make many of the changes on your own.
The final report will be delivered as a PDF and will be between 5-8 pages in length. Much of the content will be based around our initial briefing call, but you can see below the type of advice you can expect to get.
I'll review not just WHAT you say but HOW you say it. I'll include some examples for you to follow.
I'll recommend how you can alter the layout of your web pages to make your site more effective.
I'll recommend changes to your site's navigation to help with the flow through your sites content.
I'll highlight opportunities to add better images and videos to your site that will create more dynamic pages.
As a writer I'm well placed to identify where good old-fashioned storytelling can be used on your site.
I'll recommend how to include more persuasive call to actions throughout your site.
The report you get will give you the power to change your site for the better. But it's about more than just your site. Your site can AND should be a central part of your organisations success. I'm a firm believer that, with just a few changes, your site can finally get you the results you've been looking for. Apply what I recommend and you can -
Your personalised 5-8 page audit will be emailed to you within 3 working days of our phone call or Skype session.
